The Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency is hosting the Jakarta Kreasi Nusantara: Celebrating Local Creativity, Towards a Global City bazaar at the MH Thamrin Multipurpose Hall in Grha Ali Sadikin Building from July 20 to 23, 2026.

Through this event, visitors can purchase quality local products

A total of 69 MSMEs supported by the Jakarta PPKUKM Agency are taking part in the event, showcasing a wide range of products, including food and beverages, handicrafts, and fashion.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo said the City Hall Bazaar reflects the city's commitment to expanding market access and strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs to support their sustainable growth.

According to her, MSMEs play a vital role in driving Jakarta's economy. Through the City Hall Bazaar, the agency aims to provide a platform that not only creates business opportunities and boosts sales, but also strengthens the capacity of MSMEs through training sessions and educational programs.

"We hope more Jakarta MSMEs can move up the value chain, continue to innovate, and become more competitive so they can contribute to Jakarta's journey toward becoming a global city," Ratu said on Wednesday (7/22).

Ratu explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to strengthen the MSME ecosystem by integrating product promotion, business capacity building, and cross-sector collaboration through the Jakarta Kreasi Nusantara program.

She expressed hope that the initiative would help Jakarta's MSMEs become more resilient, adaptive, and capable of expanding into national and international markets.

"Jakarta City Hall serves as both a promotional platform and a capacity-building hub for Jakarta's MSMEs. Through this event, visitors can purchase quality local products while directly supporting the growth of Jakarta's MSMEs," she noted.

The bazaar has attracted strong public interest since its opening day. Visitors include civil servants working at City Hall, MSME product enthusiasts, and members of the public who came to shop and enjoy the event's activities.

In addition to promoting and selling MSME products, the City Hall Bazaar also features a range of educational and entertainment programs.

On Tuesday (7/21), visitors attended a seminar on logistics solutions for export-oriented MSMEs, followed by sessions on turning urban farming waste into compost and the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP).

On Wednesday (7/22), the event featured capacity-building sessions, including a consumer protection seminar by Bank Indonesia, an introduction to the Jakarta SDGs Registration for Business program by the Jakarta Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), and a presentation by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan on employment social security programs and benefits for MSME workers. Participants also took part in a batik canting workshop.

The event will conclude on Thursday (7/23) with a seminar hosted by the Jakarta Inspectorate and a performance by Rajasa Band.

To encourage greater participation, organizers are also offering a gift redemption program on Tuesday and Thursday for visitors who spend at least Rp100,000 across all bazaar tenants.

The program is expected to boost transactions while rewarding shoppers who choose to support Jakarta's MSMEs.
