A number of basic needs assistance for fire survivors on Jalan Nangka, RT 02/02, Ceger Urban Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta has been distributed.

Head of the Ceger Urban Village Government Section, Kiki Kusumawardhani, said that aid given to fire survivors came not only from government agencies, but also from the surrounding community.
"Aid came from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). All aid was collected by local neighborhood association (RT) officials and then distributed to fire survivors," she said, Wednesday (7/22).
Kiki explained that the aid from the East Jakarta BPBD that was distributed included nine packages of kids' ware, one box of mineral water, six cans of biscuits, five packages of clothing, five packages of family kits, five mattresses, and 16 packages of ready-to-eat food.
"We express our gratitude and appreciation to all parties," she added.
Head of East Jakarta PMI, Bambang Pangestu Aldrian, explained assistance to meet the basic needs of fire survivors is provided according to requests from the urban village.
The assistance provided consisted of four basic food packages, four hygiene kit packages, four school kit packages, four folding mats, four boxes of 1.5 liter bottled mineral water, and four family kit packages.
Meanwhile, Head of RT 02/02 of Ceger Urban Village, Hendrawan stated all collected aid was distributed directly to residents affected by the fire. Currently, fire survivors are taking temporary shelter with neighbors and relatives in the surrounding area.
"Hopefully this can ease the burden on residents who are affected by the disaster," he admitted.
