Some 20 PPSU personnel from Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta, successfully removed 500 bags of mud and trash from five residential areas on Thursday (7/16).
Rawa Buaya Sub-district Head, Adith Pratama, stated that the drainage dredging is a proactive measure to anticipate flooding ahead of the rainy season while improving environmental hygiene.

He further detailed that the five drainage locations cleaned are situated on Jalan Madrasah (RT 11/04) and Jalan Bojong Raya (RT 03/04). Other targeted areas include Jalan Bojong Raya/Paloma (RT 01/04), Jalan H. Djairi (RT 04 and RT 01 RW 02), and Jalan Dharma Wanita V (RT 09/01).
"The total length of the drains cleared across these five locations reaches 250 meters," he added.
