Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung swore in 239 functional officials from 24 job categories across 19 regional agencies within the Jakarta Provincial Government.

In his remarks, Pramono congratulated the newly appointed officials and expressed hope that they would carry out their new responsibilities with integrity while bringing blessings to their families.

"I sincerely hope you will work wholeheartedly to improve, refine, and leave a lasting legacy for Jakarta's progress in your respective fields," Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (15/7).

Pramono reminded the officials that becoming a civil servant (ASN) in the Jakarta Provincial Government is an aspiration shared by many. He therefore urged those sworn in to deliver their best performance in serving the public.

"Today, 239 functional officials were sworn in, representing 24 job categories across 19 regional agencies. The largest group consists of 150 teachers appointed to functional positions," he said.

Pramono emphasized that education, healthcare, and social protection remain the city's top priorities. The government continues to strengthen programs such as the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus and the Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU), while also preparing to launch an LPDP scholarship program managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government starting next year to help students from underprivileged families pursue higher education overseas.

"I firmly believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of disadvantage within a family," he asserted.

Concluding his remarks, Pramono urged the newly sworn-in functional officials to carry out their duties with dedication, uphold the dignity of their institutions, and provide their best service in advancing Jakarta as a global, inclusive, and cultured city.

"Congratulations on your appointments. I have confidence in all of you. Your competence, dedication, and integrity will prove that this is the best path for you, your families, and Jakarta," he said.
