The Senen District's Water Channel Implementation Unit, Central Jakarta is targeting to complete the channel normalization on Jalan Sri Gading RT 09/01 Kramat Urban Village by this month.

Head of the Unit, Zulfami said the normalization of both sides of the 148-meter long water channel has been running since June 18 by involving 11 blue troop personnel.

"The normalization is run based on the resident's request," he said, Friday (7/9).

This channel normalization uses 40 x 40 x 120 centimeter U-ditch concrete.

"The previous condition of the channel was under the road and was filled with rubbish and piles of mud," he explained.

Yemina (45), one of the residents, appreciated the unit for responding to the resident's request.

"With the repair of the drainage, the road looks wider and neater, and we don't have to worry about puddles when it rains," she admitted.
