PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) or Jakpro has completed the installation of the final girder for Jakarta LRT Phase 1B on the Velodrome–Manggarai route.
94.061% completion as of the fourth week of June 2026
The last girder was installed above the Manggarai Double-Double Track (DDT) area, one of the most critical sections of the project.
With the installation of the final girder, the entire elevated structure along the Velodrome–Manggarai corridor is now 100% connected, marking the completion of one of the most challenging construction phases of Jakarta LRT Phase 1B.
Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin emphasized that the Manggarai DDT area had been a key focus since the beginning of the project because it is located directly above an active railway corridor with intensive train operations.
He explained that installing the girders in the area required meticulous planning, close coordination among multiple agencies, and the use of limited working windows to ensure construction remained compatible with ongoing railway operations.
"The Manggarai DDT area was the final critical point in the construction of Jakarta LRT Phase 1B. Successfully installing the last girder at this location is a major milestone for the entire project team, as the challenge involved not only the technical aspects of construction but also ensuring safety coordination while railway operations continued uninterrupted," he said on Thursday (9/7).
Iwan said the completion of all girder installation work further advances the progress of Jakarta LRT Phase 1B, which had reached 94.061% completion as of the fourth week of June 2026.
The next phase will focus on completing the remaining construction work and strengthening operational readiness to ensure the line enters service according to schedule.
"We are targeting Jakarta LRT Phase 1B to begin operations in August 2026, alongside the completion of the remaining construction work and overall system readiness," he pointed.
Iwan expressed hope that the new line would strengthen public transport connectivity while supporting a more integrated urban mobility system for Jakarta residents.
"We remain fully committed to completing this project on schedule. This is not just about finishing construction, but also about delivering a more integrated, reliable public transportation system that provides real benefits for Jakarta residents," he asserted.
