The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency continues to aggressively strengthen Jakarta's tourism promotion penetration in the international market.

This strategic step was realized through an exclusive Familiarization Trip (Fam Trip) agenda that brought top tourism industry players from China to directly explore the marine tourism potential in the Seribu Islands area.

This international-scale agenda was attended by 20 delegates consisting of representatives of leading tourism agencies and corporations, including the Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASTINDO), Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou, Grand China MICE International Travel Service Co., Ltd., China Comfort Travel MICE, China Cities International Travel Service, UMICE International Conference Service, HiMICE Events Shenzhen, Hangzhou International Exchange & Service Center, and Zhejiang Everbright International Travel.

During the two-day event, participants were invited to explore the beauty of the Seribu Islands' top destinations, including Putri Island and Macan Island, as well as experience a premium stay on Sepa Island.

In addition to conducting site inspections at a number of destinations, participants also participated in in-depth information sessions related to tourism product development and explored business collaboration opportunities with local tourism industry players in Jakarta.

Head of Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Andhika Permata said the Chinese market is a potential market for the development of Jakarta tourism.

The agency wants to provide an authentic experience to tour operators and travel agents through this Familiarization Trip.

"We hope that this experience can be translated into concrete business cooperation and encourage an increase in foreign tourist visits to Jakarta," he said, Monday (7/6).

explained that this program emphasizes international marketing strategies based on tactical collaboration with industry players as partners in promoting destinations.

She believes that destination promotion will be more effective when industry players experience the tourism offered firsthand. Therefore, this Familiarization Trip aims to build industry partners' trust in the quality of Jakarta's tourism products while expanding their network of collaborations with tourism industry players in China.

"We are optimistic that this synergy will open up wider market opportunities for the Seribu Islands as one of Jakarta's leading destinations," she stated.
