The Jakarta Provincial Board of the Indonesia Woodball Association (IWbA) is aiming for the overall championship title at the Woodball National 2026 Championship. The event will be held at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, from July 6 to 10, 2026.
Jakarta IWbA Chairwoman Marulina Dewi revealed that 59 athletes—from elementary school prodigies to seasoned seniors—have been deployed for the event.

"We are aiming to be the overall champions of the Indonesia Woodball National Championship," she expressed, Monday (7/6).
She added that this tournament serves as a key point-scoring event for the annual rankings, paving the way for athletes to represent Indonesia globally.
"We have 250 athletes from 16 provinces competing in this year's championship," she noted.
PB IWbA General Chairman, Aang Sunadji emphasized that this event is not just about crowning champions—it is the birthplace of grand ambitions.
"Our athletes have already reached the top of the world stage. I am confident that the spirit of competition at Lapangan Banteng will inspire a new wave of world-class talent," he explained.
He called on the national championship participants to compete with spirit, uphold respect for their rivals, abide by the regulations, and enjoy the process.
"Winning is indeed something to be proud of, but your character, sportsmanship, and hard work are what will truly carry you forward in life," he added.
Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Andri Yansyah emphasized that this year’s championship is about more than just checking a box on the schedule. Under the theme "From Jakarta for Indonesia’s Achievement," it’s a stage for continuous nurturing of talent.
He noted that the event is a chance for athletes to showcase the results of their hard work and a gateway for the next generation to make the nation proud.
Woodball is a sport that demands high precision, composure, masterful technique, and sound strategy.
"On the course, it is not just about the pursuit of victory, but also about upholding the values of sportsmanship and fostering camaraderie among athletes from every province," he closed.
