The Jakarta Kreatif Festival (JKF) 2026 at Istora Senayan officially drew to a close yesterday, following a successful two-day run. The festival served as a collaborative hub, uniting the government, business sectors, MSMEs, creative communities, academia, financial institutions, media, and the public within a powerful, mutually reinforcing ecosystem.

Embodying the spirit of collaboration, JKF 2026 showcased a diverse range of activities, from MSME exhibitions and business matching to creative economy festivals, educational sessions, public services, and various competitions. This series of events not only fueled economic growth but also solidified the synergy between key stakeholders.

Hope this momentum continues to fuel the growth of MSMEs

JKF 2026 was a massive success, boasting 377 tenants where 290 MSMEs and 87 community partners joined forces with 67 institutions. The energy was electric as 15,000 visitors flocked to the venue over the weekend.

The excitement did not stop there—1,940 participants showcased their talents across diverse competitions, from the Jakarta Youth Film Festival and Band Competition to the JKF Fun Padel Competition and Urban Farming Festival.

JKF 2026 delivered a massive economic boost, hitting Rp 55 billion in total transactions, including MSME export deals and financing matches. The impact went even further: through the PINISI program, an incredible Rp 575 billion in banking financing commitments was pledged to support corporations.

The event also secured partnership commitments between the banking sector and young filmmakers from the Jakarta Youth Film Festival. This collaboration further reinforces that the film and music industries are strategic sectors poised to become Jakarta’s new economic engines.

Bank Indonesia Jakarta Head, Iwan Setiawan remarked that the end of JKF 2026 marks the dawn of a new collaborative era.

"Closing this event doesn't mean we’re finished—it’s a sign that our shared journey has truly begun. Hope this momentum continues to fuel the growth of MSMEs, the creative industry, and digitalization throughout Jakarta," he explained.

He added that this spirit of collaboration is a vital asset as we head toward 'Jakarta 5 Centuries,' aiming to establish Jakarta as a competitive and sustainable global city.

Jakarta City Secretary, Uus Kuswanto, remarked that JKF 2026 is a testament to how creativity and collaboration form the backbone of a thriving Jakarta.

"The Jaga Jakarta spirit is a powerful reminder: building our city isn't just a government task—it’s a shared mission that belongs to everyone," he added.

Uus believes JKF serves as a strategic catalyst for Jakarta’s global city evolution as it nears its 5-century milestone. By prioritizing the creative economy and digitalization, Jakarta is sharpening its competitive edge.

Looking ahead, it is set to become a premier collaborative hub—strengthening ecosystems, opening market doors, and fueling the next generation of bold innovators and visionary entrepreneurs.

"The collaborative spirit forged through JKF is expected to drive Jakarta’s economic growth toward a more inclusive, competitive, and sustainable future, while solidifying its position as a global city," he concluded.
