'The creative economy is becoming a new engine of growth for Jakarta.'
This was emphasized by the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, when giving a speech at the opening of the Jakarta Creative Festival (JKF) 2026 at Istora Senayan, Saturday (7/4).

Pramono stated that the JKF 2026, organized by the Provincial Government and the Jakarta Representative Office (KPw) of Bank Indonesia, aims to realize good creative economic growth through ideas, innovation, and synergy of all elements of society.
"I appreciate the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of DKI Jakarta Province for consistently presenting JKF as a real collaboration space between all stakeholders and the business world, especially creative economy actors and MSMEs, thus strengthening Jakarta's steps towards becoming a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable global city," said Pramono.
Based on the data, Pramono revealed, Jakarta grew by around 5.59 percent in the first quarter of 2026 and contributed 16.67 percent to GDP.
"Jakarta as a whole contributes nearly 38 percent of all QRiS transactions in Indonesia. 422,000 MSMEs in Jakarta use QRIS as a payment method," he added.
Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Jakarta Province, Iwan Setiawan explained that the JKF, which will be held on Saturday (July 4) to Sunday (July 5) tomorrow, is a concrete manifestation of cross-sector collaboration to strengthen the economic foundation, especially the development of the creative economy which involves three main driving lines, namely sports, music and film.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Filianingsih Hendarta assessed that the JKF 2026 event is concrete evidence that the development of MSMEs and the acceleration of payment system digitalization can go hand in hand, to boost the real sector and increase the economic productivity of Jakarta.
"We will continue to encourage innovation, strengthen the MSME ecosystem and the creative economy, and increase public literacy regarding local products and national payment systems through the JKF event," she stated.
