Repair to the 200-meter long channel on Jalan Danau Jempang RT 07/RW 04 Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, is targeted for completion by mid-August.

Head of Tanah Abang Water Resources Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said her party deployed nine Blue Troop personnel to replace the damaged channel with a 60 x 60 x 120 centimeter U-ditch concrete.

"The channel repair began on June 22. We aim to complete it by mid-August," she said, Friday (7/3).

One of the local residents, Parulian (40), appreciated the Tanah Abang District Water Resources Unit in repairing the channel.

He stated that the condition of the channel has experienced many landslides, so its capacity is reduced and often causes flooding during heavy rain.

"We thank the Water Resources officers for responding to our aspirations," he stated.
