Eight personnel of Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency are normalizing water channel on Jalan Danau Singkarak RT 13/RW 03, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang.

Head of Tanah Abang Water Resource Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said the normalization of this 90-meter-long canal follows up on residents' aspirations conveyed through the 2026 Musrenbang.

"The channel is normalized because it had narrowed due to shifting soil that was being pressed by large tree roots," she said.

She added that water channel normalization work began on June 17 and current progress is around 15 percent.

"We use 60 x 60 x 120 centimeter u-ditch concrete and a cover," she added.

She targets that this normalization work will be completed by the end of July.

"We hope the channel can function optimally again after normalization," she hoped.
