A total of 35 joint personnel carried out operations along the Jalan Lingkar Utara Timur, Harapan Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Islands District, Seribu Islands.

Head of Seribu Utara Island Satpol PP, Edi Syahrudin said this activity is carried out to maintain order, cleanliness, and ensure that public facilities can be used according to their intended use by the community.

"We carry out sterilization so that the roadside is not used as a place to store goods or for activities that disrupt the mobility of residents or tourists," he said, Thursday (7/2).

Officers removed a number of items on the roadside, including burning tools, tables, benches, wooden debris, and iron carts.

"We continue to conduct humane monitoring and enforcement to ensure public facilities can be used as intended. Prior to enforcement, we also employed a persuasive approach and socialization to residents," he added.

According to him, environmental management requires the support of all elements of society. Therefore, residents are expected to no longer use the roadside as a place to store personal belongings or for activities that impede public access.

Meanwhile, Head of Harapan Island Urban Village, Muhammad Nuralim appreciated the synergy of all elements involved in the activity with the aim of making the environment tidier, cleaner and more comfortable.

"Hopefully, public awareness to maintain public facilities and not use the roadside will increase so that the environment remains well-organized," he hoped.
