As many as 45 joint personnel of Satpol PP, police, army, PPSU and West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Wednesday (7/1), controlled illegal parking at CNI and Jalan Kembangan Raya.

CNI area has been known to be prone to illegal parking

Head of Kembangan District Satpol PP, Asmar Pandjaitan said this control is a routine activity to anticipate street vendors and illegal parking occupying the roadside and sidewalks.

"Officers combed the area from Jalan Kembangan Raya to CNI. So far, the CNI area has been known to be prone to illegal parking and is occupied by street vendors," he said.

Joint officers took action against 10 two-wheeled vehicles found parked haphazardly in the CNI area, as well as two carts belonging to street vendors.

"Those who violate parking rules will be punished by having their tires valves removed," he added.

"We hope that this action will have a deterrent effect so that there will be no more illegal parking or use the roadside and sidewalk as a place of business," he hoped.
