The arrangement of the Cagak River bank area on Jalan Tanah Sereal Raya, RW 08, Tanah Sereal Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, is targeted for completion in September. Work has been underway since Saturday (June 27).

Head of Tanah Sereal Urban Village, Tubagus Masrul Iman explained the arrangement includes painting the embankment along approximately 150 meters and placing sorting bins.

According to him, the arrangement of this area is an effort to prevent the riverbanks from becoming illegal waste dumps (TPS).

"We took the initiative to beautify the area with murals. The work is carried out by 10 PPSU officers," he said, Wednesday (7/1).

Apart from beautifying the embankment with murals, Tubagus added, his party also admitted to making four kitchen waste holes (Lusida) to collect leftover cooking waste from residents' homes.

"We hope residents will help maintain cleanliness and refrain from littering, so the area remains beautiful and comfortable," he added.

Kevin, Head of the Economic and Development Section of Tanah Sereal Urban Village, stated that the renovations will be carried out in stages. The canteen and pedestrian area will also be painted to enhance the area's beauty.

"In this initial phase, we will focus on the murals on the retaining wall and the construction of the Lusida. Once completed, we will then inspect the canteen and pedestrian area," he stated.
