The North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sub-agency has once again rolled out its Kampung Sadar Administrasi Kependudukan (KAMSA) mobile service, this time at the RW 06 office in Semper Timur Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district.

the importance of having complete civil registration documents

North Jakarta Dukcapil Population Registration Services Section Head Pandapotan Sinambela said the KAMSA program is designed to ensure residents have complete civil registration documents.

The initiative, he added, makes it easier for people to process civil registration documents without having to visit their Urban Village office or the North Jakarta Dukcapil office.

"Through this service, we want to ensure that no resident faces difficulties accessing public services simply because they lack the necessary civil registration documents," he said on Tuesday (6/30).

According to Pandapotan, the service helped 42 residents activate their Digital Population Identity (IKD). It also facilitated the issuance of four electronic ID cards (e-KTPs), two Child Identity Cards (KIA), and two birth certificates for adults, in addition to providing civil registration consultations for 10 residents.

He also mentioned that the mobile service is also available at schools across North Jakarta, making it easier for students approaching the age of 17 to obtain their e-KTPs on time.

"We're also bringing the service to schools to make it easier for students approaching the age of 17 to obtain their e-KTPs," he highlighted.

Pandapotan said the KAMSA program will continue to rotate across neighborhoods in North Jakarta as part of efforts to deliver faster, easier, and more transparent civil registration services.

"We hope more residents will recognize the importance of having complete civil registration documents. We're optimistic this mobile service will continue to improve access to civil registration services across North Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile, Fatimah (60), a resident of RW 06 in Semper Timur Urban Village, said the KAMSA service had made it much easier to access civil registration services close to home.

"I activated my Digital Population Identity, and now I feel more at ease, especially when I need medical treatment or have to deal with hospital paperwork because everything is available on my phone," she said.
