The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency continues to maintain the massive cube embankment through casting at the RT 01/01 Pier in the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Seribu Selatan Islands District. Up to now, the work has reached approximately 57 percent progress.
Head of the Sub-agency, Frans Agustinus Siahaan said the embankment casting is part of the land redevelopment program on Untung Jawa Island. In addition to strengthening coastal infrastructure, the work also aims to improve the aesthetics of the area around the pier.

"The embankment can later be used as a jogging track or a place to relax," he said, Monday (6/29).
Frans explained that the casting of the four-meter-wide embankment is targeted to be carried out along 300 meters.
"The casting has been completed along 170 meters or around 57 percent of the target," he explained.
The work process, which began in early May 2026, involves 12 Blue Troop personnel equipped with complete work equipment.
"It is hoped that the development of this area will improve comfort and support the economic activities of the residents of Untung Jawa Island. Once the casting process is complete, the embankment will also be painted for a neater and more aesthetic appearance," he said.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Eva (47) appreciated the casting of the embankment which not only strengthens the coastal protection from abrasion, but also provides a more comfortable public space for the community.
"We can use it for a leisurely walk in the morning or evening. Plus, we feel safer because the sturdy embankment is able to withstand coastal erosion," she admitted.
