The South Jakarta Civil Registration Sub-agency (Dukcapil) reports that 654,121 residents have successfully activated their Digital Population Identity (IKD) to date.
South Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-agency Head, Salimin stated that this figure represents 38.04% of the 1,719,678 electronic ID (e-KTP) holders in South Jakarta.
This achievement surpasses the Jakarta citywide average
"This achievement surpasses the Jakarta citywide average. Out of 8,066,762 eligible e-KTP holders across Jakarta, 2,954,238 residents, or 36.62%, have activated their IKD," he expressed, Monday (6/29).
He highlighted that the agency is ramping up IKD activations by bringing services directly to the people—from neighborhoods and workplaces to schools.
By collaborating with various parties, they aim to broaden their reach and make civil registry services more accessible than ever for the community.
"Our mobile outreach efforts at the local level are designed to bridge the gap, bringing public services directly to the people’s doorstep,” he noted.
According to Salimin, activating IKD is a cornerstone of moving civil registry services into the digital age. Under the
Dukcapil at Your Fingertips' initiative, the Jakarta government is building a digital ecosystem within the Alpukat Betawi app. In this new era, IKD will act as the ultimate portal, giving the public seamless access to all their administrative needs.
"In a global and cultured metropolis like Jakarta, IKD activation is vital. It is a game-changer for our residents with fast-paced lifestyles, making administrative needs much more manageable,” he noted.
