Eight personnel are working on the normalization of a 60-meter channel along Jalan Asem, RT 10/09, Ciracas Urban Village.

Ciracas Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Yulia Indah stated that the normalization project uses 40x40x120 cm U-ditch concrete, complete with concrete cover slabs.

"The work has been underway since last Monday (6/15), and it is targeted for completion within 40 working days, or by the end of July," she expressed, Saturday (6/20).

According to her, the old 20-centimeter-wide red-brick channel could no longer accommodate the water discharge during rainfall, often resulting in localized flooding.

Ciracas Urban Village Head, Arifin commended the East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency personnel for their prompt response to residents' requests to renovate the channel.

"Thankfully, the normalizartion is now a reality. We would like to thank and commend the team for following through on this community request," he concluded.
