A total of 2,807 families in Tengah Urban Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta were given food assistance to meet basic needs.

Head of Tengah Urban Village, Budy Hartati said food aid distribution has been ongoing since May 5, 2026. To ensure that information is conveyed evenly, the urban village has conducted socialization through RT and RW administrators throughout the region.

We are grateful

"As of this afternoon, approximately 95 families have not yet received their food aid. We urge residents who are registered as beneficiaries to come to the urban village office immediately to claim their food aid," she said, Wednesday (6/17).

Budy explained that each beneficiary family received assistance in the form of 20 kilograms of rice and four liters of cooking oil.

To provide convenience to elderly beneficiaries, officers have also implemented a special service scheme. Elderly are prioritized to receive assistance first without having to queue.

Data on aid recipients is based on the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) database. This food aid program is managed by the National Food Agency in collaboration with the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) and is intended for vulnerable populations.

"Beneficiaries include families registered in the Family Hope Program (PKH), recipients of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and families with toddlers or children at risk of stunting," she added.

Meanwhile, one of the aid recipients, Fatimah (51), said she was grateful for the aid given because it was very helpful in meeting household needs amidst the rising prices of a number of basic commodities.

"We are grateful to the government for this assistance. The rice and cooking oil we received are very helpful for our family's daily needs," she admitted.
