The West Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency conducted fresh food inspections at five traditional markets and one supermarket.
A total of 56 samples were examined
Head of the Sub-agency, Betty Rohmawati said this fresh food monitoring activity is to ensure that food circulating in the market is in good and suitable condition.
"We carry out inspections on agricultural and livestock products sold in traditional markets and supermarkets," she said.
Various agricultural and livestock products were inspected, such as rice, curly red chilies, red cayenne peppers, young jackfruit, shallots, green mustard greens, tomatoes, cauliflower, chicken and beef.
Betty added that in this activity, her party carried out inspections of 56 agricultural and livestock products.
In detail, there were eight samples of agricultural products and two samples of livestock products at Jembatan Besi Market, Jembatan Dua Market, Pejagalan Market, Pengumben Market and Kedoya Utara Market.
Meanwhile, regarding fresh food supervision at the Superindo Kedoya Supermarket, Betty continued that her team conducted inspections on five samples of agricultural products and two samples of livestock products.
"A total of 56 samples were examined, consisting of 44 agricultural products and 12 livestock products. All were declared safe and fit for consumption," she stated.
