Joint personnel representing the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, police, army, and Social Sub-agency cracked down on 111 motor vehicles found in violation of parking regulations near the City Park Apartment area in Cengkareng Timur.

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Operational Section Head, Agus Prasetyo explained that this operation is a direct follow-up to instructions from the Governor and the Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency.

"We have received numerous reports indicating that the area surrounding this apartment is frequently exploited for illegal parking. Consequently, we are conducting a thorough sweep of the location today," he expressed, Thursday (6/11).

He detailed that the 111 vehicles netted in the operation comprised 110 motorbikes and a single automobile. Among the motorbikes, 102 faced deflation sanctions via the removal of tire valves, while eight were hauled to the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency.

"We penalized one four-wheeled vehicle with towing," he clarified.

It was done to create a deterrent effect and prevent residents from parking haphazardly on roadsides and pedestrian walkways.

"We trust that this action will act as a deterrent to ensure that no more individuals park at will on the roadsides or sidewalks,” he concluded.
