An operation to control illegal parking and parking attendants in the area around Daan Mogot Baru Mall, Jalan Tampak Siring, Gilimanuk, Kintamani Raya and Jalan Tanah Lot, Kalideres Urban Village, West Jakarta, Wednesday (6/10), resulted in the confiscation of 158 two-wheeled vehicles and the arrest of four illegal parking attendants.

Head Section of Operation for West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Agus Prasetyo said the party imposed strict sanctions on parking violators to provide a deterrent effect, because so far in the West Jakarta area the level of parking violations has been quite high.

"This step was also taken due to the large number of public reports regarding illegal parking," he said.

Agus continued, this activity involved around 50 joint officers from the Transportation Agency, Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Police, Army and the West Jakarta Social Services Sub-agency.

Of the 158 motorcycles that were prosecuted, 150 were sanctioned with the valve removal and eight were transported to the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency office.

According to him, in this operation, officers also controlled four illegal parking attendants.

"After being recorded, the illegal parking attendants were taken by a team from the West Jakarta Social Services Sub-agency for guidance at a social institution," he admitted.
