The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency controlled illegal parking on Jalan Galunggung, Setiabudi, precisely at Dukuh Atas Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area.

Head of Setiabudi District's Transportation Unit, Ngatno, said the controlling was intensified by involving 15 joint personnel from related parties.

"We previously received complaints from residents who were disturbed by illegal parking at this location. We immediately responded by enforcing enforcement measures from yesterday until today," he said, Friday (6/5).

Ngatno explained that, in addition to deploying dozens of personnel, his team also deployed four tow trucks to take action against vehicles parked illegally in the area.

This regulatory action is expected to have a positive impact on smooth traffic flow and improve public comfort when using public facilities in the surrounding area. Furthermore, the Dukuh Atas area is a transportation integration hub that is bustling with public transportation users daily.

"We will continue to monitor this area. Personnel are stationed at several locations with the potential for illegal parking or where traffic congestion could occur," he added.

One of the residents, Setiadji, commended the officers' efforts in maintaining order and tidiness in the Dukuh Atas area. He noted that illegal parking often disrupts public activities and reduces the comfort of public facilities.

"If possible, officers should be on duty regularly. Usually, when officers are present, illegally parked vehicles leave immediately. However, when officers are no longer present, illegal parking often recurs," he admitted.
