The Jakarta Social Agency has provided logistical aid and social support for Jiung Market fire survivors in Kemayoran.
The basic needs of affected residents are met quickly, appropriately, and sustainably
The aid has been distributed to 679 affected residents from 354 families and includes ready-to-eat meals, basic necessities, family and school supplies, psychosocial support services, and temporary housing assistance.
Jakarta Social Agency Head Iqbal Akbarudin said the aid was distributed to help meet the immediate needs of residents affected by the fire.
“The assistance reflects the Jakarta Social Agency's commitment to ensuring that the basic needs of affected residents are met quickly, appropriately, and sustainably,” he said on Wednesday (6/3).
He added that the agency would continue coordinating with various stakeholders to provide social protection and support for residents undergoing post-disaster recovery.
Iqbal expressed hope that the assistance would help ease the burden on affected residents and support the recovery process of fire survivors.
“The Jakarta Social Agency will continue to be present and strive to provide the best possible services so residents can safely and comfortably resume their daily activities,” he said.
