The Green Troop of the South Jakarta Parks and Forestry Sub-agency successfully pruned 10 trees at risk of falling in the Mampang Prapatan District. This activity was a follow-up to public complaints and part of the routine Wednesday Pruning program.
Head of the Sub-agency, Herlina Merinda said most of the trees that were pruned were the result of reports from residents via the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application.

"We need to carry out this pruning immediately to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community, as well as to maintain the aesthetics of the city," he said.
Of the 10 trees that were pruned, nine were angsana trees and one was a flamboyant tree.
According to her, the average tree that is pruned has a trunk diameter of between 20 and 30 centimeters.
"40 personnel were deployed to prune the trees," she added.
Herlina urged the public to immediately report any trees deemed dangerous or at risk of falling, either through the JAKI app or to local government officials.
"Hopefully, with regular monitoring of trees in South Jakarta, the safety and comfort of residents can continue to be maintained," she hoped.
