The Jakarta Provincial Government has cancelled the implementation of Car Free Day (CFD) on Sunday, May 31, 2026. This policy was taken in connection with the commemoration of Vesak Day 2570.

Acting Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan said the elimination of Car Free Day refers to the provisions contained in the Regulation of the Governor of Jakarta Province Number 12 of 2016 about the Implementation of Car Free Day.

"The implementation of Car Free Day on Sunday, May 31, 2026 is cancelled in connection with the commemoration of Vesak Day 2570," he said, Friday (5/29).

The Jakarta Transportation Agency urges the public to continue to comply with traffic regulations and prioritize safety while traveling on the road.

"We invite the public to remain orderly in traffic and prioritize safety and comfort for all during the Vesak Day activities," he appealed.
