The East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs, and Agriculture (KPKP) Agency has begun inspecting sacrificial animals and meat at 200 slaughterhouses. This step is being taken to ensure that the sacrificial meat distributed to the public is healthy and fit for consumption.

One of the inspections was conducted at the At Tien Mosque. There, the committee slaughtered 26 sacrificial cows. Officers examined various internal organs, including the liver, spleen, lungs, heart, and even the meat, to ensure there were no signs of disease.

Head of East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency, Taufik Yulianto said on the first day of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, his party deployed a total of 177 officers spread across 10 districts.

"The target is approximately today, according to existing data, there are around 200 locations for slaughtering sacrificial animals," he said, Wednesday (5/27).
