Pantas Nainggolan, a member of Commission D of the Jakarta City Council, stated that the inauguration of officials within the Jakarta Provincial Government is part of an effort to refresh and strengthen government performance targets.
targets of each performance
According to Pantas, the transfer and inauguration of officials are expected to support the success of the programs of Governor and Vice Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno.
"We can also consider this as a refresher and at the same time a strengthening of the targets of each performance as a consequence of the position held," he said, Thursday (5/21).
Through this refreshment, it is hoped that the performance of officials will be more measurable, in line with established targets.
He also highlighted the importance of the newly appointed officials' role in supporting Jakarta's waste management program, particularly waste sorting at source.
The Jakarta Provincial Government has issued Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 5 which regulates waste sorting at the regional and household levels.
"The gubernatorial instruction covers all areas of Jakarta down to the RW level, even down to the level of waste management carts," he added.
Waste sorting is carried out into four categories namely organic, inorganic, B3 (Hazardous and Toxic Materials), and residue, as stipulated in the Gubernatorial Instruction.
Therefore, Pantas continued, officials and civil servants are expected to continue promoting waste sorting education to the public.
"All civil servants must participate in encouraging, and perhaps even take the lead in sorting waste into four categories," he continued.
Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated 884 echelon II, III, and IV officials within the Jakarta Provincial Government on Wednesday (May 20). The inauguration was carried out to optimize government operations and expedite decision-making by filling all vacant positions so that they are no longer led by acting officials.
Interestingly, Pramono deliberately chose Wednesday so that the inaugurated officials would arrive using public transportation and wear traditional Betawi clothing, such as the ujung serong and encim, as a form of preserving Jakarta's identity.
