A total of 15 joint officers from the Grogol Petamburan District City Parks and Forestry Unit together with PPSU personnel, Wednesday, trimmed an angsana tree that was at risk of falling on Jalan Hadiah RT 13/03, Jelambar Urban Village.

Head of Jelambar Urban Village, Pradista Machdala Putra explained this pruning was run in response to complaints from residents who were worried that the tree would fall due to the wind because its branches were so thick and disrupting public facilities.

complaint from residents will be followed up

"Moreover, it has been raining frequently for the past few days. There's concern that if the rain is accompanied by wind, it could cause trees to fall or break," he said.

He added that the pruning process is carried out using conventional methods using axes, machetes and chainsaws.

According to Pradista, pruning a tree as high as seven meters with a diameter of around 50 centimeters will also make the tree grow healthily and not become porous in the trunk.

Pradista also expressed his appreciation for the residents who reported the tree's condition, which was at risk of falling. He hopes that other residents will not hesitate to report any trees in similar condition.

"Certainly, every report and complaint from residents will be followed up as best as possible," he admitted.
