The North Jakarta Administration has expressed full support for the newly opened Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) Center at PLN UP3 Tanjung Priok Office in Kebon Bawang Urban Village, Tanjung Priok.
An important step toward building an innovative and globally competitive city
North Jakarta Vice Mayor Fredy Setiawan said the newly established SPKLU center reflects a shared commitment to supporting Jakarta's transformation into a modern and sustainable global city rooted in culture.
He expressed hope that the facility would encourage more residents to switch to electric vehicles while boosting the EV ecosystem in North Jakarta.
"The presence of this SPKLU is not merely about providing charging facilities, but also represents an important step toward building an innovative and globally competitive city," he emphasized, Wednesday (5/20).
According to Fredy, the SPKLU Center is also part of strategic efforts to reduce vehicle emissions.
"The government will continue rolling out policies that support the transition to clean energy. We hope PLN and its partners can further expand the SPKLU network to make access more convenient for residents," he added.
PLN UID Jakarta Raya General Manager Andy Adchaminoerdin explained that the Tanjung Priok SPKLU Center features two 200 kW ultra-fast charging units, six 120 kW ultra-fast charging units, and one 22 kW medium charging unit.
According to Andy, all charging units are equipped with CCS2 and AC connectors compatible with various electric vehicle brands.
"We established the SPKLU Center in Tanjung Priok to provide residents with complete charging options in one location. Users can adjust charging times according to their needs without disrupting daily activities," he said.
