focus on achieving success
The activity, opened by the Assistant to the Central Jakarta Government, Prasetyo Kurniawan, aims to shape the character of the younger generation.
Prasetyo stated that his office continues to make extensive efforts to prevent student brawls from recurring in Central Jakarta.
"We want students in Central Jakarta to focus on achieving success through various positive activities and training," he said.
Brawls have devastating consequences for students, their families, and others. Besides damaging facilities and their futures, Prasetyo continued, student involvement in brawls is certain to disrupt the educational process, as there are strict sanctions awaiting them.
"Students caught in a brawl will have their KJP membership revoked and could face criminal sanctions for disturbing public order and peace," he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Jakarta Suban Kesbangpol, Sony Triwibawa, explained that this activity carried the theme "Peaceful Jakarta; Students Unite, Brawls Away."
"Through this activity, we want to provide an understanding of the negative impacts of brawls on students," he admitted.
