A total of 800 children aged nine months to 13 years are targeted to receive Measles and Rubella vaccination services held by the Utan Panjang Sub-Health Center, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/18) to Friday (5/22).

The Head of the Utan Panjang Sub-Health Center, Dewi Indah Irianti, explained that the vaccination carried out at the Utan Panjang RW 10 Secretariat was a follow-up to the increase in measles cases in the past few weeks.

"We are carrying out Outbreak Response Immunization in Utan Panjang Urban Village, to respond to the increasing number of measles cases," she said, Monday (5/18).

She also appealed to residents to consistently implement clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) to prevent measles and other diseases.

"Implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle is effective in preventing measles and other diseases caused by viruses," she added.

Meanwhile, Head of Utan Panjang Urban Village, Gatra Pratama Putra appealed to residents who have children aged nine to 13 years to immediately get measles and rubella vaccinations at the Posyandu or Utan Panjang Sub-Health Center.

Gatra added that his team, along with the Utan Panjang Community Health Center team, will launch vaccination services starting today and running until May 22.

"We are targeting 800 children to receive Measles and Rubella vaccination services," he admitted.
