A total of 25 PPSU personnel successfully transported sacks of mud and garbage from the channel on Jalan Jelambar Utama III RW 08, Jelambar Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.

Head of Jelambar Urban Village, Pradista Machdala Putra explained the draining and cleaning of the channels carried out on Sunday (5/17) was an effort to anticipate flooding during the rainy season.

"We are trying to clean the channels, in anticipation of the rainy season so that it doesn't cause flooding," he said, Monday (5/18).

The cleaning of the channel, which is approximately 30 centimeters wide and one meter high, was carried out by orange troop personnel along 600 meters.

He hopes that residents will participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the channels by not throwing rubbish carelessly.

"If trash is carelessly thrown into the drains, it can clog the waterways and cause flooding. Therefore, we hope residents will also help maintain cleanliness," he appealed.
