The curb painting project along the stretch of Jalan Dr Saharjo to Jalan Raya Casablanca in Menteng Dalam, Tebet, finally completed.

Menteng Dalam Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Hendra stated that the initiative was conducted to enhance the area's aesthetics while ensuring the safety of road users.

"This painting project is also part of a series of events to commemorate Jakarta's 499th anniversary, which kicked off yesterday," he said on Tuesday (12/5).

He explained that the 3.2-kilometer project was executed in stages starting May 9, 2026, involving 24 personnel of PPSU.

He added that the choice of black and white for the curbs is part of an urban face-lift to make the road environment look tidier, cleaner, and safer for the public.

"These contrasting colors improve visibility for drivers. I urge the public to help maintain these improved facilities," he explained.

According to Hendra, similar painting projects will be rolled out across several other locations in Menteng Dalam to further beautify and organize the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, a local resident, Juansyah Indrawan, expressed his appreciation, noting that the new look makes the surroundings feel more organized, comfortable, and safe.

"The painting looks excellent. Previously, the curbs here were faded and could have been hazardous to motorists," he concluded.
