Street lighting on KBT Inspection Road Works Normally

The ranks of East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency repaired and replaced the stolen public street lights on Jalan Inspeksi Kanal Banjir Timur (KBT), Cakung District.

Head of the Sub-agency, Benhard Hutajulu said there were 46 lamps stolen in the area.

All the lights were replaced

In detail, as many as 40 lights are on Jalan Baru or the west side of Jalan Inspeksi KBT, Ujung Menteng Urban Village and six other lights are on Jalan Inspeksi KBT, Pulo Gebang Urban Village.

"Last night we installed three replacement street lights in the Pulo Gebang Urban Village area," he said, Friday (5/8).

He explained that the installation of six 90 watt LED street lights in the Pulo Gebang area is targeted for completion next week.

"For the 40 missing street lights in the Jalan Baru Ujung Menteng area, handling will be carried out directly by the Jakarta Public Works Agency," he explained.

Meanwhile, Head of the City Utilities Infrastructure and Public Street Lighting Section of the Sub-agency, Yanuar Ikhsan said in the process of installing replacement lights, his party deployed eight Yellow Troop personnel and one ladder truck.

"Two poles on KBT Pulo Gebang Inspection Road were also stolen. We have now replaced them with new ones," he said.

The two missing pillars are green baseplates with a height of nine meters.

"We have now switched to using galvanized iron material to make it stronger and more durable," he added.

Last April, 51 90 watt LED lights along the KBT Inspection Road, from the Ujung Menteng Bridge area to the Rorotan border, North Jakarta, were also stolen.

"All the lights were replaced or reinstalled on April 24th," he admitted.
