From January to the first week of May 2026, the Central Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency has pruned 3,651 trees prone to falling across eight districts.

Head of the Sub-agency, Mila Ananda said the pruning of thousands of trees at risk of falling was carried out in response to residents' aspirations conveyed through complaint channels and letters, as well as the results of monitoring by officers in the field.
"There were 568 trees lightly pruned, 2,214 moderately pruned and 818 heavily pruned, and 148 trees were felled due to unsustainable conditions," she said, Thursday (5/7).
Moreover, green troops in eight districts and the Sub-agency handled dozens of splintered and fallen trees caused by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.
"A total of 41 broken trees and 49 fallen trees were handled during January to early May 2026," she stated.
