22 fire engines and 100 personnel to the scene

"Upon receiving the report, we immediately deployed a fleet of 22 fire engines and 100 personnel to the scene," he expressed, Thursday (5/7).

He explained that the firefighting operation was prolonged due to the nature of the facility, which contained highly flammable materials. The fire, which affected an area of approximately 1,200 square meters, was successfully localized by 11:42 PM, followed by a cooling process to prevent reignition.

"After an extensive operation, the site was declared fully clear and the operation concluded at 2:05 AM," he added.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit that caused an explosion in the power panel. Sparks then ignited oil drums, causing the fire to spread rapidly.
