Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung on Monday (5/4) inaugurated four renovated urban village offices at the Senen Urban Village Office in Central Jakarta, namely Senen and Tanah Tinggi in Central Jakarta and Semper Barat and Sunter Jaya in North Jakarta.

Hope these facilities will significantly improve public service quality

The renovations were carried out as several offices had not undergone major rehabilitation since 1990, as part of ongoing efforts to accelerate improvements in public services for Jakarta residents.

He called for annual improvements to urban village offices, saying they must shift from administrative roles to frontline services that directly engage residents.

He urged urban village offices to be more open to public complaints and to deliver the best possible services.

In line with Jakarta's vision as a global city, Pramono also said urban village officials must shift their mindset in providing services. He emphasized that all services at urban village offices must be free of charge.

"We hope these facilities will significantly improve public service quality and support Jakarta's transformation into a global city and national economic hub that is inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial to its residents," he said.
