The blue troop personnel of Koja District's Water Resources Unit, North Jakarta completed the improvement of the water channel on Jalan Kompleks Usaha Karya, RT 02/08, Tugu Utara Urban Village.

Head of Koja District's Water Resources Unit, Slamet Riyanto said the repair was a follow-up to the aspirations of residents in RW 08 because the retaining wall had collapsed in several parts.

"Its location is close to a local garbage dump, which accelerates damage. Furthermore, the retaining wall was too short, causing trash to frequently enter and block the water flow," he said, Monday (5/4).

Repair of the retaining wall with a height of 150 centimeters and a width of 80 centimeters was carried out along 20 meters.

"The work involved nine Blue Troop personnel. Repair was carried out manually using river stones and dolken wood, then reinforced with plaster casting," he explained.

He added that the work process began on April 17 and was completed at the end of April 2026. During implementation, the work proceeded smoothly without any significant obstacles.

"The work has been 100 percent completed. After repairs, it is hoped that the channel will return to optimal function," he added.

Meanwhile, a resident of RW 08, Suroso (52) appreciated the Koja Water Resources Unit for repairing the channel.

"Hopefully this retaining wall will last a long time and residents will become more aware not to throw rubbish carelessly so that the channel remains smooth," he hoped.
