The Betawi Eid 2026, held at the former Vosara Field, Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta, was held lively and involved 60 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
South Jakarta City Secretary, Mukhlisin, said this activity is real evidence that Betawi culture remains a social glue amidst the dynamics of urban life.
spirit of togetherness
"I appreciate the committee and the Ciganjur community who have worked hard to organize this event with a spirit of togetherness," he said, Saturday (5/2).
Mukhlisin explained that there are three important aspects to this activity. First, preserving culture as an identity that remains relevant amidst modernity. Second, culture as a driver of the local economy through the involvement of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Third, culture as a means of strengthening ties regardless of religious or regional differences.
"Let's use this event to continue instilling noble Betawi values, such as mutual cooperation, mutual respect, and togetherness. We will not only preserve our culture but also build a better future for future generations," he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of Ciganjur Urban Village, Saifullah Waliulu stated this activity aims to preserve Betawi culture, strengthen ties between residents and community leaders, and strengthen unity.
"Through this event, residents can gather, rejoice, and trade at the same time," he stated.
His party involved 60 MSMEs, both from the community and Jakpreneurs, who sell various products ranging from culinary to crafts.
"The committee also presents various entertainment, such as talk shows, group exercise, competitions, as well as Betawi music and dance performances," he added.
