PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is adjusting its operational services across several corridors and routes in light of May Day commemorations taking place at various locations in Jakarta, particularly around the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta City Hall, and its surrounding areas.
These adjustments follow road closures and heavy traffic congestion on several major thoroughfares, including Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Thamrin, and Sudirman, as well as Gambir and Tugu Tani areas.
We encourage passengers to plan their trips
Transjakarta’s Public Relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, said the adjustments aim to maintain operational continuity with a focus on passenger safety and comfort during May Day commemorations.
"We encourage passengers to plan their trips accordingly and follow the official updates we provide," she stated, Friday (1/5).
The adjustments include route diversions, route shortening, and the temporary suspension of services for several routes, as follows:
• Corridor 2 (Pulogadung - Monas) and Route 2A (Pulogadung - Rawa Buaya via City Hall): Will not serve the City Hall and Gambir bus stops.
• The following routes are also affected (diversions/adjustments): 1A (Pantai Maju - City Hall), 5C (Cililitan - Juanda), 7F (Kampung Rambutan - Juanda via Cempaka Putih), 9D (Pasar Minggu - Tanah Abang), 2P (Gondangdia Station - Pasar Senen), 1P (Senen - Blok M), JAK10B, 6H (Senen - Lebak Bulus), and 1R (Senen - Tanah Abang).
• Route 6A (Ragunan - City Hall via Kuningan) and 6B (Ragunan - City Hall via Semanggi): Shortened to only serve up to Tosari Bus Stop.
• Route 1H (Tanah Abang - Gondangdia Station) and 1N (Tanah Abang - Blok M): Service is temporarily suspended.
Transjakarta urges customers to stay updated through official social media channels and the Transjakarta app, and to adjust their travel schedules accordingly.
“Transjakarta remains committed to providing the best service and ensuring public mobility during the events taking place in the capital,” she concluded.
