Due to rob (tidal wave) and collapsed dike in Muara Baru Industrial area that occurred on Saturday night (6/4), until now the flood always inundates Muara Baru area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta at night.

"Since Sunday night, the water level is approximately 1-1.5 meters. As a result, some companies operational is paralyzed. But the flood has receded gradually since Wednesday noon," said Sulaiman, a security officer around Muara Baru, Thursday (6/9).

Sulaiman disclosed, the rob always hits the region at around 10 PM and will recede at noon. Due to small pump capacity, water disposal is unoptimal thus flood comes day by day.

"The collapsed dike was immediately handled on Sunday noon by putting sand bags. Another cause of flood is due to small sluice gate of ship docking in Muara Baru," he stated.

Meanwhile, based on Beritajakarta.com, some streets are still flooded, likewise with some companies and fish auction locations. The dike that collapsed less than 15 meters long has been patched with sand bags as high as two meters.
