The Jakarta International Velodrome is set to host the MPL Indonesia Season 17 playoffs on June 10–14, 2026. This is the venue's third time hosting the event after previously welcoming over 30,000 attendees during Seasons 13 and 15.
This year marks the third time the Jakarta International Velodrome has been selected as the venue for MPL Indonesia. It previously hosted Seasons 13 and 15, attracting more than 30,000 visitors over the course of five days.
We have proven that we are ready
Jakpro’s Business and Operations Director, Adi Adnyana, expressed the company’s readiness to support the MPL Indonesia Season 17 playoffs at the Velodrome. He stated, the Velodrome was selected once again because it has a proven track record of successfully hosting large-scale events.
“We have proven that we are ready, which is why we’ve been chosen again. There are many great venues, but they chose the Velodrome because of essential factors that make us trusted,” he expressed, Wednesday (4/29).
Adi further elaborated that Jakpro’s preparations go beyond core infrastructure, covering the full event ecosystem—from seating capacity to operational support. He noted, the Velodrome was engineered for versatility, including international-scale events, earning it the continued trust to host the nation's premier e-sports tournament.
“We are truly ready. We have prepared the environment to ensure all the needs of the event are met,” he continued.
According to him, e-sports tournaments such as MPL provide momentum for cross-industry partnerships involving public transport and MSMEs to bolster the local economy.
"The e-sports industry is thriving with substantial economic value, even hitting tens of trillions of rupiah. It’s more than just a competition; it’s about driving a wider ecosystem that encompasses transport, small businesses, and other key stakeholders," he explained.
At the same time, MOONTON Indonesia’s Head of Esports Business Development, Martinus H. Manurung, remarked that the choice of the Jakarta International Velodrome aims to deliver a grander and more immersive experience for enthusiasts. The decision also coincides with the lead-up to Jakarta’s 500th-anniversary festivities.
“As one of Jakarta’s most prestigious and historic venues, we want to elevate the scale of this event to the next level,” he added.
He reaffirmed that providing a top-tier experience for fans remains the core priority, whether they are watching via livestream or in person. This year, the venue has leveled up with a grander stage and an innovative seating arrangement designed for a better viewing experience.
“Fans will feel an emotional closeness and the intensity of the competition in a much more tangible way,” he noted.
As part of its innovations, MPL Indonesia Season 17 is introducing a new ticket category: the VIP Pass. This ticket offers more comfortable and strategic seating, along with exclusive merchandise to enhance the fan experience.

"Usually, tickets sell out in under five minutes—particularly for the grand final. We strongly encourage fans to act fast and secure their tickets right away," Martinus added.
Beyond the main competition, the series of events will be enlivened by the MPL ID Festival. Open to the public at no cost, this festival showcases a variety of entertainment and e-sports community engagement activities.
