As many as 14,578 joint personnel from the police, military, and Jakarta administration are set to secure May Day commemorations, which fall on May 1, 2026.
Central Jakarta Deputy Police Chief, AKBP Eko Yulianto, noted that the personnel would be distributed to various assembly points, including Monas, Parliament building (DPR/MPR), and Tugu Tani.

"We'll deploy joint forces to Monas, DPR/MPR, and Tugu Tani," he remarked after a coordination meeting at the Central Jakarta Mayor’s office, Wednesday (4/29).
Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin is confident that the May Day demonstrations will be held in an orderly fashion, noting that the right to protest is legally protected.
"The military, police, and city administration are working together to secure the event so that the workers can voice their aspirations safely and peacefully," he explained.
Further, the city administration is prepared to mobilize hundreds of personnel, ranging from medical staff and sanitation workers (PPSU) to personnel from the Environment Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, and Satpol PP.
"Those personnel are prepared to ensure a conducive environment while the workers express their demands and to ensure that Jakarta is clean again after the action," he concluded.
