PT LRT Jakarta is launching 'Re:Art LRTJ x Ganara Artivity' as part of the #8ertumbuh campaign to celebrate its 8th anniversary.
Partnering with Ganara Art, the initiative brings art installations and interactive workshops to stations. This effort is designed to enhance the transportation experience and reinforce stations as inclusive public spaces for everyone.
We want to transform stations into vibrant
The art installation titled 'LRTJ Artivity' is showcased in the unpaid area on the 2nd floor of Velodrome Station for one month. Carrying the theme 'Growing to Unite Jakarta’s Mobility,' this creative expression space has been open to all 'Sahabat LRTJ' since April 19, 2026.
To add to the excitement, LRT Jakarta is also hosting hand-built pottery activities for 25 'Sahabat LRTJ' every Saturday (April 25–May 16, 2026). To participate, visitors must collect a registration coupon at North Boulevard Summarecon Mall Station and take a single trip to Velodrome Station using LRT Jakarta.
PT LRT Jakarta President Director, Roberto Akyuwen stated that this initiative is part of the company's commitment to providing services that focus not only on mobility but also on creating more meaningful experiences for the public.
“We want to transform stations into vibrant, open spaces that are relevant to the community's needs and capable of connecting people through creativity,” he explained, Tuesday (4/21).
He noted that the Re:Art program represents LRT Jakarta’s commitment to boosting community engagement through creative, art-driven initiatives.
"In the future, LRT Jakarta hopes to continue developing such initiatives as part of our service innovations, enriching the commuting experience and fostering more vibrant and empowered public spaces,” he added.
The initiative launched with 'Art for Happy Moms and Kids,' an interactive art workshop held at Pulomas Station last Sunday (4/19). During the event, 75 pairs of mothers and children participated in painting canvas knot bags, an activity designed to foster creativity and togetherness.
