Four prone to fall trees on Jalan Moch Kahfi II, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta were pruned.
Field Coordinator of South Jakarta City Parks and Forestry, Mulyadi said the tree pruning was carried out following up on reports from residents via the JAKI application.
working quickly since this morning
"Initially, we had two trees that we decided to prune. However, seeing that the other adjacent tree was also at risk of falling, we ended up pruning two more," he said, Tuesday (4/14).
Mulyadi explained the four trees that were pruned today were a banyan tree with a height of 16 meters, a trambesi tree with a height of 12 meters, and a saga tree, each with a height of 12 meters.
A total of eight Green Troop personnel along with supporting equipment and one truck to transport the trunk and leaf waste were deployed.
"Pruning these trees also brightens the environment, especially at night, thus preventing potential negative impacts," he admitted.
Meanwhile, one of the residents, Septian Pahlapi (37), stated the pruning was very appropriate, considering that the location at night looked dark because the lighting was blocked by the trees.
"I appreciate the officers who have been working quickly since this morning," he stated.
