The Setu Urban Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, is holding a coffee morning to gather community input. This activity is planned to take place weekly, with locations rotating in each neighborhood unit (RW).
Head of Setu Urban Village, Dwi Widiastuti said this coffee morning is a means of direct communication between the urban village officials and the community.
we can discuss things more freely
"We run this activity routinely every Monday, from morning to afternoon, and it is carried out in rotation," she said, Monday (4/13).
According to her, coffee mornings are also aimed to promote various government programs so that information can be received directly and evenly by residents.
"Some of the programs are payment of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2), Bazis, and waste sorting programs," she added.
She continued that the urban village also provided information regarding public security and order (Kamtibmas), including an appeal to parents to supervise the activities of their teenagers.
"We urge teenagers not to stay out late at night and to be home by 10 PM at the latest. We also remind them of the dangers of drug abuse," she explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of RW 05, Setu Urban Village, Yuriah, appreciated the initiative because this program can bring the government apparatus closer to the community.
"If we come to the urban village office, the time is limited. Through this activity, we can discuss things more freely and express our aspirations directly," he admitted.
