A total of 88 two-wheeled vehicles were caught parked in a prohibited area in the Sentra Primer Barat area, Jalan Puri Indah Raya, Puri Harum and Jalan Puri Ayu, South Kembangan Urban Village, Kembangan District, Friday (4/9), were controlled.

Head Section of Handling for West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Agus Prasetyo said this controlling was carried out in response to complaints from residents because it was disrupting pedestrians and causing traffic jams in the surrounding area.

"We carried out the enforcement together with Satpol PP, Police and Army," he said.

In this operation, the team carried out a sweep starting from Jalan Puri Indah Raya, Puri Harum, and Jalan Puri Ayu to Jalan Puri Wangi.

"As a result, eight two-wheeled vehicles were transported by officers to the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Office in Rawa Buaya," he explained.

Moreover, the joint officers also conducted tire valve removal operations (OCP) against 80 illegally parked motorcycles. It is hoped that this action will have a deterrent effect, preventing further illegal parking.

"We will routinely monitor this area so that this area is no longer used as an illegal parking location," he stated.
