He stated that the crackdown was conducted because the presence of these street vendors and illegal parking obstructed traffic flow, particularly for residents heading to the Kemayoran Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
"We're clearing the street vendor stalls and illegal parking to restore the road's function so it can be easily accessed, especially by residents seeking medical care at Kemayoran RSUD," he expressed, Wednesday (4/8).
Meanwhile, Kemayoran Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Bronson Sitompul, added that this operation is part of the enforcement of Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order.
"We're imposing Minor Offense (Tipiring) sanctions on vendors caught violating the rules," he explained.
According to him, supervision will not end with today's crackdown. Satpol PP will conduct routine patrols to ensure the area remains orderly and does not become crowded again with street vendors or illegal parking.
"We will do periodic patrols to ensure that the cleared locations are not re-occupied for purposes other than their intended use," he emphasized.
